Abstract

PURPOSE:To increase track density double and to secure the same reading/ writing operation for variation in the track density by installing two magnetic head cores which differ in track width in a magnetic head slider. CONSTITUTION:The magnetic head cores 2 and 3 are installed on the magnetic head slider 1 whose floppy disk contacting surface 4 contacts a floppy disk when writing or reading is performed. The cores 2 and 3 correspond to track width 5a when the track density is 96 TPI and track width 5b when 48 TPI. Thus, the cores 2 and 3 which differ in track width are provided in the slider 1 to secure the same reading/writing operation for a floppy disk having original track density when the track width is doubled and the inside of each track is halved.

た場合、従来のトラック密度のフロッピィディスクのデ
ータを読み書きする際に互換性の点において完全ではな
いという欠点があった。
