Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve photoelectric conversion efficiency by heat treatment in the range of fixed temperatures after forming an amorphous Si solar battery device. CONSTITUTION:Amorphous Si layer 2, 3 are formed on an insulating substrate 1 to provide a Schottky metallic layer 5 via an insulating layer 4. Then, this substrate is heat-treated at 200-400 deg.C in oxidizing atmosphere. Thus, stresses in each layer is released to improve photoelectric conversion efficiency.
