Abstract

PURPOSE:To form an image having a difference between longitudinal magnification and lateral magnification by arranging two optical systems which converge and diverge light respectively independently of each other in two component directions which are perpendicular to an optical axis and cross each other at right angles. CONSTITUTION:A cylindrical lens 1 having relatively long focal length and a cylindrical lens 2 having relatively short focal length are arranged in such a way that their cylinder axes cross each other at right angles. Further, the interval between those lenses 1 and 2 is set adequately to form real images 6 and 7 of a longitudinal body 4 and a lateral body 6 at one point, thus obtaining an image having the lateral magnification greater than the longitudinal magnification.
