Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent fogging of a lens consisting of inorg. glass when temp. changes abruptly by forming a hygroscopic resin layer of relatively large water absorptivity on one or both surfaces of said lens. CONSTITUTION:A hygroscopic resin of relatively large water absorptivity is laminated on the surface of a lens consisting of inorg. glass by a casting, dipping or spraying method, whereby an intended non-fogging glass lens is obtained. The moisture condensed on the lens surfaces when temp. changes abruptly is absorbed into the resin by this, whereby the fogging of the lens is prevented. The layer obtd. by curing a UV curing resin compsn. constituted of polyhydric alcohol (meth)acrylate (e.g.; triethylene glycol diacrylate) and epoxy acrylate or tetrahydrofurfuryl acrylate is suitable as the hygroscopic resin layer.
