Abstract

PURPOSE:To efficiently suck and convey fish out of the fish tank of a ship, by providing check valves at both the ends of a single reciprocating cylinder and connecting a suction pipe and a pressure conveyance pipe to the check valves. CONSTITUTION:A vacuum pump 26 is driven by an electric motor 25 and solenoid valves 21, 22 are opened to heighten the degree of vacuum in suction pressure conveyance chambers 19, 20 so that fish and water in a fish tank 38 are conducted into the chambers 19, 20 through a suction pipe 8 and suction ports 4, 5 by the vacuum suction force. When the level of the fish and water in the pressure conveyance chambers 19, 20 has risen to prescribed value, it is detected by no-float switches 23, 24 to close the solenoid valves 21, 22 by signals from the switches. The fish and water are thus filled in the pressure conveyance chambers 19, 20. When the solenoid valves 21, 22 are closed, a water pump 33 is driven to introduce water under pressure into a fluid pressure cylinder 2 to move a suction pressure conveyance piston 3 in the direction of an arrow A in the drawing so that the fish and water in the pressure conveyance chamber 19 push and open a check valve 11 and are moved under pressure to a pressure conveyance pipe 13 and conveyed through a chute 40. The fish and water in the other pressure conveyance chamber 20 are also moved under pressure through a check valve 12 in the same manner.
