Abstract

PURPOSE: To efficiently prevent the pulsation of a fluid, by keeping the pressure of air in an internal chamber connected to a passage pipe, higher than the atmospheric pressure.
CONSTITUTION: An internal chamber 6, the pressure in which can be increased, is connected to a passage pipe 4 extending from a pressure conveyance pump 43 as a pressure conveying means to a destination 5 in a system wherein a fluid 2 put in a hopper 1 is conveyed under pressure to the destination 5 through the passage pipe 4 by the pressure conveyance pump 3. After the pressure of air in the chamber 6 is heightened, the fluid 2 is conveyed under pressure by the pump 2. After the fluid 2 has passed the part of the passage pipe 4 near the chamber 6, a valve 11 at the chamber is opened to connect the pipe 4 to the chamber 6. As a result, the pulsation of the fluid 2 is absorbed by the pressurized air in the chamber 6. The pulsation is thus suppressed.
