Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide a brushless DC motor which can prevent the withstand voltage breakdown and the thermal breakdown of a drive transistor by slowly reducing the timing of a coil supplying current at the time of stopping an energization, thereby reducing a spike-shaped voltage. CONSTITUTION:When a zero voltage signal is applied as a stop signal from VCC to the terminal 48 of an energization stopping circuit 49, a transistor 42 is turned OFF, a capacitor 44 is charged from zero voltage to higher voltage. When the terminal voltage C of the condenser becomes higher than a forward voltage VBE between the base and the emitter, a transistor 46 is activated. As the voltage C rises, the emitter current of the transistor 46 will slowly increase, part of the differential current (i1-i2) corresponding to the command voltage A is absorbed by the transistor 46, thereby gradually decreasing the current to a resistor 13. As a result, the current supplied to a motor coil slowly decreases in time sequence. When the voltage C becomes up to 2VBE, a transistor 47 is conducted, thereby absorbing the current (i1-i2) completely and stopping the energization to the motor coil.
