Abstract
PURPOSE:To remove the materials stuck on a photoreceptor quickly and thoroughly by mixing 0.01-1.0pt.wt. a surfactant and 10-30pts.wt. hard powder and granules of 1-100mmu grain sizes in a dispersion medium. CONSTITUTION:In a step S1 for using a regenerating agent, an elastic water absorptive member 33 is brought into press contact with a photoreceptor 30 over the entire width at a right angle to the traveling direction thereof. In the next step S2, the regenerating agent is impregnated with the member 33 of a regenerating means 31. this regenerating agent is obtained by mixing 0.01-1.0pt.wt. a surfactant and 10-30pts.wt. hard powder and granules of 1-100mmu grain sizes with a dispersion medium. If such regenerating agent is used, the magnetic toner and the paper powder of copying paper stuck on the photoreceptor are polished by the hard power and granules and are removed quickly and thoroughly. Therefore, the photoreceptor is regenerated surely.
