Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent leak of flon vapor toward a bearing case by injecting Flon vapor into the turbine side and nitric gas into the bearing case side with respect to the packing for turbine axial seal for oil flon turbine. CONSTITUTION:Nitric gas is sealed in a space in lubrication unit such as lubricating oil tank 1, oil pump 2, etc. Flon vapor is injected by pressure into the side of turbine 11 for packings 49, 50 for turbine axis seal from communicating inlets 49d, 50d through the intermediary of compressor 27. Moreover, nitric gas is injected by pressure into the side of bearing cases 7, 8 for packing from communicating inlets 49d, 50d through compressor 42. Thus the flon vapor is prevented from circulating into the bearing cases 7, 8 because flon vapor pressure and nitric gas pressure are balanced.
