Abstract

PURPOSE: The titled fibers, consisting of a polymer containing stannic oxide powder or powder containing the stannic oxide and a polymer containing a delustering agent and the former polymer coated with the latter polymer, and having improved color tone.
CONSTITUTION: Composite fibers consisting of (A) a polymeric component, e.g. polyethylene terephthalate, containing (i) electrically conductive stannic oxide powder and/or powder prepared by coating an inorganic material with the electrically conductive stannic oxide and (ii) electrically conductive carbon black powder and (B) a polymeric components, e.g. polyethylene terephathalate, containing a delustering agent, e.g titanium oxide, and having the corss section in which the component (A) is partially or wholly covered with the component (B). The contents of the components (i) and (ii) in the component (A) are 15W 60wt% and 2W25wt% respectively, and the total content of the components (i) and (ii) is preferably 20W70wt%. The ratio between the cross-sectional areas of the components (A) and (B) is preferably (3/97)W(25/75).
