Abstract

PURPOSE: The title composite fibers of the side-by-side type, having improved releasability, with inconspicuous color due to carbon black, comprising a polymer blend consisting of an antistatic polymer containing carbon black and a fiber- forming polymer as a highly shrinkable component.
CONSTITUTION: A polymer blend of an antistatic polymer, which has improved affinity for carbon black to mix or disperse it, and a fiber-forming polymer is used as a highly shrinkable component (H) to improve the electrical conductivity of H and peel resistance of the composite fibers. Preferably, the amount of the antistatic polymer is 50 wt.% or less based on the weight of the polymer blend of H, and the fiber-forming polymer containing a white pigment is used as the low shrinkable component (L). The composite ratio of the H to L is about 5:95W40:60.
