Abstract
PURPOSE:To stabilize arcs and to make welding voltage coincident with the command value of the welding voltage by controlling the number of revolutions of a wire feed motor in accordance with the value obtd. by adding the voltage corresponding to welding current to the difference between the welding voltage and the command value thereof. CONSTITUTION:A consumable electrode 1 is fed by a feed roller 3 directly coupled to a feed motor 2 and a pressure roller 4, and an arc 5 is generated between said electrode and base materials 18. The voltage alphaVA obtd. by converting a welding voltage VA with a welding voltage level converter 6 and the betaVV obtained by converting a welding voltage command value VV with a converter 7 are compared in a comparator 8, whereby a differential voltage alphaVA- betaVV is obtained. The K1V1 obtained by converting a wedling current command value V1 with a converter 10 is added to the output K2(alphaVA-betaVB) obtained by amplifying said differential voltage with an amplifier 9 with an adder 11, from which it is supplied as a command voltage VC to the control governer 12 of the motor 2. The feed rate of the wire suited for the command values VV and V1 is obtained and the arc 5 is stabilized by determining the coeffts. of the converters, the amplifier, the adder subtractor adequately.
