Abstract
PURPOSE:To maintain the quality of machines and materials well by correcting the speeds of rolling mills at constant limited acceleration or deceleration rates when the deviation between a reference loop value and a current loop value is large. CONSTITUTION:Rolling stands controlled by speed controllers 5, 6 are rotated by the speed given by reference speed devices 7, 8, whereby a material is fed in an arrow A direction. The current value of a loop is detected with a loop detector 9 and the differential signal from the reference loop signal set in a reference loop device 10 is applied to a loop controller 11. The controller 11 integrates the differential signal proportionally, and applies the same as a correction value to the reference speed signal of the device 7 of the stand 1, thereby controlling the loop. If at this time the deviation between the reference loop and the current loop value is large, the speed of the rolling mills is corrected at constant limited acceleration or deceleration rates by a loop deviation limiting circuit 12, whereby the abrupt acceleration or deceleration is prevented.
