Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent soldering material from melting-off and prevent the defective sealing due to unsuccessful soldering or deformation from producing by a method wherein soldering materials are provided in concavities arranged at the center of the wave crest and trough edge lines of each waves of cooling corrugated plates. CONSTITUTION:A flat tube unit 5 is composed of a flat tube 8, within which soldering material and a corrugated plate 9 is arranged. The cooling corrugated plate 6 is composed of a thin copper corrugated sheet, at the center of the wave crest and trough edge lines of each wave 6a of which the concavities 10 are formed. Said units 5 and cooling corrugated plates 6 are put one on another and soldering materials 11 are provided in the concavities 10 of the cooling corrugated plate 6 and finally both the ends of the units 5 are inserted in the openings of side end plates 7 and fixed. The corrugated plates 9 and the cooling corrugated plates 6 are so arranged that their directions of the waves intersect perpendicularly each other.
