CONSTITUTION:A detector 8 consists of a couple of split detectors 8a and 8b having large photodetection surfaces on both sides, and a couple of split detectors 8c and 8d having small photodetection surfaces at the center part, and their boundary directions coincide with each other. In this case, the sum of outputs of the two center split detectors 8c and 8d is equal to that of the two both-side split detectors 8a and 8b at a focusing position.
