Abstract
PURPOSE:To exactly detect a recording information and a control signal without exerting influence on the detection of a converging focus control signal, by irradiating a sufficiently large image of a light beam irradiated onto an information medium, to a differential photodiode. CONSTITUTION:A parallel luminous flux 14 is converged onto a disk 21 through a half-mirror 35 and a lens 20. Reflected rays 14' go in the opposite direction, are converged in front of a differential photodiode 28 by a lens 36, are extended to some extent, and attain to a junction part 37 of a differential photodiode 23. Even if the half-mirror 35 is rotated in order to control an information track, a photodetecting element 23 is not influenced. Signals from two photodetecting elements 23a, 23b execute a focus control through a difference circuit, an automatic focus compensating circuit and an automatic focus driving device, and also two photodetecting signals detect video and sound signals through a summing circuit, and a signal from the summing circuit controls a deflecting device through a tracking circuit. In this way, a recording information and a control signal are detected exactly without exerting influence on the detection of a converging focus control signal.
