Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform control correctly to a command, in car speed control on a performacne testing standm by reading a throttle valve opening signal form a rotating speed and output torque, converted from load torque, adding a car speed deviation to the throttle valve opening signal and controlling a throttle valve. CONSTITUTION:An engine rotating speed E and load torque of a vehicle tested on a stand are measured, and the load torque is converted into engine output torque T. From the both valuse, referring to a stored output torque curve, a required throttle valve opening theta is obtained by an arithmetic unit 23 and added by an adder 4 to output of a control amplifier 3 amplifying a deviation between command and measured car speeds. In this way, even in case of large change of the load torque, a throttle valve opening is changed in a quick response to the torque, accordingly the deviation of the car speed is never greatly deflected. Furthermore, in case of large delay of measurement in a torque detector B, a command torque may be used, in this case, correction shall be slightly delayed.
