Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce a level of offset voltage by a construction wherein output terminals of the Ai-th element unit are connected to input terminals of the Ai+1-th element unit and input terminals of the Ai-th element unit are connected to output terminals of the Ai+1-th element unit, respectively, in the case of using two or more magnetoresistive element units. CONSTITUTION:When a magnetoresistive element comprises n units of elements (n>=2), input electrodes 16, 18 of a magnetoresistive element unit A1 are connected to input terminals 21, 22 of the element and output terminals 17, 19 of the former are connected to input electrodes 16, 18 of a magnetoresistive element unit A2, respectively. Output electrodes 17, 19 of the element unit A2 are respectively connected to output terminals 23, 24 of the element. When input voltage is applied to the input electrodes 16, 17 of A1, minute offset voltage Vu occurs across the output electrodes 17, 19 thereof. This offset voltage is applied to A2 as input voltage, but it does not appear across the output terminals 23, 24 thereof. Thus, it becomes possible to reduce a ratio of the offset voltage to the differential voltage at the time of applying the magnetic field.
