Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate eccentric errors of lenses by disposing a stop between the two positive lenses of a rear group when the refracting powers of the respective groups of a two group zoom lens are intensified for the purpose of miniaturization. CONSTITUTION:This zoom lens consists of a front group 9 having a negative refracting power and a rear group 10 having a positive refracting power, and its focal length is changed by moving both groups in the optical axis direction. The front group is constituted of a positive lens 1, a negative lens 2, and a positive meniscus lens 3 from the object side, and the rear group is constituted of a positive lens 4, a positive meniscus lens 5, a negative lens 6, ane a positive lens 7 successively. A stop is disposed between the lenses 4 and 5, to reduce the influence of the eccentricity of the lens 5 and the lens 6. The space d1 of the stop space and the focal length fM of the lens 5 are so set as to satisfy the relations of the equations I and II with respect to the combined focal length fR of the rear group, whereby the occurrence of spherical aberrations owing to the stop space is prevented and miniaturization is achieved.
