Abstract

PURPOSE:To intermit the oscillation of a control transistor with a low level of current, by connecting a switch to a base circuit of a control transistor to discontinue the working of said transistor which has the oscillation. CONSTITUTION:When a variable input DC voltage is supplied to a voltage input terminal via a rectifying circuit 5, a control transistor TR6 is turned on and off to have blocking oscillation. For a blocking oscillating circuit, a switch SW1 is connected to a lead wire that cuts off directly the base signal, for example, of a base circuit 9 of a TR6. The current is generally small at this area for the lead wire. Thus the switch SW1 can function as a power supply switch to intermit the oscillation of the TR6 although the current capacity of the SW1 is small. Accordingly, the switch SW1, for example, can be controlled by a weak current of a remote control signal, etc. by using a switching regulator incorporating the switch SW1.
