Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a device which eliminates the need for a power source, is easy to operate, and can perform an efficient measurement, by a method wherein an elastic substance is placed between a push-up member, moving forward and backward to a stringing, and a control member to detect the bending amount of the elastic substance and a change in pressure. CONSTITUTION:Two hook parts, engaging two spots existing on a stringing to be measured and parting from each other, are set. A guide cylinder is located in a direction crossing the stringing and between the hook parts, a pushing-up member, moving forward and backward to the stringing, is vertically movably mounted to the upper part of the guide cylinder, and a control member, elevating by a hand operation, is installed to the lower part of the guide cylinder. Additionally, a working medium, consisting of an elastic substance or fluid, is placed between the pushing-up member and the control member. With the control member raised, the pushing-up member moves forward through the working medium to push he stringing. This measures the tension of the stringing through detection of the bending amount of the elastic substance or the pressure of the fluid.
