Abstract
PURPOSE: To enable uniform blending with good productivity, by previously coating a wear resistance-imparting agent with an org. polar solvent soln. for an arom. polyamide-imide resin in the melt-blending of said wear resistance-imparting agent with said resin.
CONSTITUTION: 30W90wt% arom. polyamide-imide resin (A) of the formula (wherein Ar is a trivalent arom. group contg. at least one six-membered carbon ring; R is a bivalent arom. residue or aliph. residue; R' is H, methyl, phenyl), 70W10wt% graphite and/or molybdenum disulfide (B) previously coated with an org. polar solvent soln. contg. part of component A, and 0W30wt% resin (C) having flow characteristics better than those of component A and selected from a polyphenylene sulfide resin, a polyamide resin and an arom. polyester resin, are melt-blended by heating to obtain the desired wear-resistant resin compsn.
