Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a composition having high whiteness and thermal stability, and excellent dyeability to an acid dye, by compounding a polyester with a tert- amine-containing polyamide obtained by the melt polymerization in the presence of a phosphorus compound.
CONSTITUTION: A polyester having alkylene terephthalate unit as main constituent unit is compounded with a polyamide containing tertiary amino groups in the molecule and obtained by the melt polymerization in the presence of a phosphorus compound of formula[RP(OH)O]xM (R is aryl, alkyl, aralkyl, or cycloalkyl; M is metal; x is integer corresponding to the valency of M), preferably sodium phenylphosphinate, etc. The phosphorus compound is added to the polymerization system preferably at or befor the middle stage of the polymerization of the polyamide.
