PURPOSE:To prevent commutation voltage from becoming negative by commutation interference by providing a specially selected reactor for the winding of a transformer that is constituted by a plurality of sections made by dividing the secondary coil of a transformers and connecting a transformer to each of the section. CONSTITUTION:A commutating device for an alternating current electric vehicle is provided with a secondary windings 4-1-4-m that are multi-divisions of a winding on the secondary side and to each of the windings a transducer 5 that is capable of making inverter-action is connected and at the same time the windings are successively connected to form the commutating device.
