Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the commutation interference without any compensating reactor with one double secondary winding type transformer by means of a negative separation reactance provided for the power feed transformer. CONSTITUTION:This converter is composed of rectifiers REC1 and REC2 comprising thyristers U1-Z1 and U2-Z2 and one double secondary winding type transformer arranged in a 3-phase connection. The primary winding of the rectifier transformer is arranged in the DELTA connection, the secondary winding belonging to the side of the rectifier REC1 in the DELTA connection and the secondary winding belonging to the side of the rectifier REC2 in the Y connection. The primary winding Wa1 and the secondary windings Wa21, Wa22, identically, Wb2 and Wb21, Wb22 and Wc1 and Wc21, Wc22 are separately arranged on the same core leg of the transformer. This connection allows a negative separation reactance for the power feed transformer. With such an arrangement, the compenstion can be made for the commutation interference without any compensating reactor for cancelling the commutation interference voltage.
