Abstract
PURPOSE:To collate the stored line condition and the current location of a train for determining the running the running condition of a train, by providing an ATO device having a block position counter, distance counter and ROM to detect the current location of a train from the starting point. CONSTITUTION:In the ATO device 20, the distance data stored in the ROM memory 12 is extracted by the count value of the block position counter 4 to obtain the distance corresponding to a passed block section further to accumulate the count value of the distance counter 7 on said distance data. Thus, the distance from a starting point to current point of the train is detected with the line condition of the current point detected by stored line data. Such a detection of distance is restricted to the minimum in inaccurate factors of for distance due to wheel diameter errors or idling and gliding.
