Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable manufacture of the odometer free from any troubles accompanying the stoppage of a power supply by a method wherein the same informations on mileage written in four or more non-volatile memories sequentially are compared one by one and those informations which have the highest accordance are delivered for employment. CONSTITUTION:The same informations on mileage are written in four or more non-volatile memories which retain in written informations successively even after breaking of a power supply. Then, these informations are compared one by one and those having the highest accordance thereof are delivered by using a majority circuit. For example, a vehicle speed signal detected by a speed sensor 1 is made to be a signal indicating a mileage through integration by an integrator 2, a prescribed operation is given thereto by a microcomputer 3 and the informations on mileage thus accumulated are indicated by an indicator 4, while the aforesaid informations are written sequentially in four or more non-volatile memories 5, and those informations which have the highest accordance are adopted, whereby it is made possible to prevent false indication and the like liable to occur at the time of breaking of the power supply.
