Abstract
PURPOSE:To have a small-sized runner with high efficiency by bending the runner in its middle concentrically with the runner boss. CONSTITUTION:A runner blade 5 is installed on the runner boss 1 firmly or rotatably, where the blade is bent in its middle. In this case, this bending of blade 5 is made concentrically with the runner boss 1 so that rotation of the blade does not cause this bending point to encounter the resistance of water stream. The angle of bending shall be such that the blade approaches the runner supporting side. In comparison with a straight runner, the overall length of this blade increases accordingly the area of blade, which contributes to generation of lifting force, and the torque will thus increase.
