Abstract

PURPOSE:To reject noise of the background without missing of picture information and to make picture reproduction with high quality, and ANDing the outputs among a binary circuit, a pattern forming circuit and a harmonizing circuit with a logical processing circuit. CONSTITUTION:A binary circuit 40 binarizes multi-value input picture information S1 with a prescribed threshold value, and a binary circuit 60 which is the similar constitution as the circuit 40 and has different threshold value binarizes input information with the threshold value at higher density side than that of the circuit 40. A pattern forming circuit 50 recognizes an input picture part and a non-picture part based on an output signal of the circuit 40 for patterning. Further, picture elements around a part being black picture elements with an output signal S4 of the circuit 60 are compulsively changed into the picture parts for the adjacent non-picture parts with a harmonizing circuit 70. A ligical processing circuit 80 logically ANDs an output signal S2 of the circuit 40, an output signal S3 of the circuit 50 and an output signal S5 of the circuit 70 with each other, and outputs a signal S6.
