Abstract
PURPOSE:To measure the flow of a fluid which has an extremely low velocity by charging an observation part with a granular packing material, and then moving a substitute material, which has different electrical or chemical properties from underground water in the observation part according to the flow of the underground water. CONSTITUTION:At the observation part of a probe, a substitute material 24 having different electric or chemical properties from underground water W is sealed in a granular packing material 70. When the underground water W flows into the observation part, the substitute material 24 is extruded. The movement of this substitute material 24 is detected in the form of resistance variation by using a center electrode 10, external electrodes 11A..., and auxiliary electrodes 11B... to measure the flow direction of the underground water W.
