Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform highly accurate working at high efficiency by inserting plural mandreles having convex steps into a hollow pipe and making press working while stretching the worked position by pressure welding of convex steps. CONSTITUTION:A pipe M is inserted so that a fixed mandrel 11 and a movable mandrel 12 are positioned in the hollow pipe M and held by a supporting board 23. When a movable upper die 24 is lowered toward a fixed lower die, and ejector 27 comes into contact with the guide tapered face 17 of a slide leg 16 and slides the movable mandrel 12 horizontally in the longitudinal direction of the pipe M. The fixed mandrel 11 and movable mandrel 12 are provided with convex parts and they are superposed at a groove 10 notched on the pipe M, and press the pipe M from inside. Then, the cutter of the movable upper die 24 goes down and performs smooth notching of the notch automatically.
