Abstract
PURPOSE:To approximately double the number of scanning lines by dividing and inputting a horizontal synchronizing signal with the doubled frequency into the inputs of 2 horizontal deflecting circuits whose phases are different by 1/4 horizontal period each other and switching these horizontal deflecting circuits in every 1 field period. CONSTITUTION:When a horizontal synchronizing signal fh in the NTSC system is inputted to an input terminal of a double multiplying circuit 1, the input signal is converted into a doubled signals 2fh and one of these signals is applied to the 1st AFC circuit consisting of a phase detecting circuit 3a, a filter circuit 4a and a voltage controlled oscillator (VCO) 5a. When a changeover switch is in the shown position, an output from the 1st AFC circuit is supplied to a horizontal output circuit 6 and returned to a phase detecting circuit 3a through a level converting circuit 7. The other output out of 2fh is shifted by 1/4H by a phase shifting circuit 2 and the shifted output is applied to the 2nd AFC circuit consisting of a phase detecting circuit 3b, a filter circuit 4b and a VCO 5b. The output of the 2nd AFC circuit is returned to the phase detecting circuit 3b. Each changeover switch 8 is switched in every 1 field period.
