Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a device for decompressing of gas flow in multistage in the interior of a gas flow pipe which can decompress without occurrence of impulse wave by disposing porous decompression plates at several places at specified intervals in the interior of the pipe along the flow of gas. CONSTITUTION:A decompression device is suited for sharply reducing pressure of main vapor and a condenser, like a bypass line of a turbine. The decompression device comprises decompression plates 12 and 13 disposed at a specified interval along the flow A of gas in a pipe 11. The decompression plates are respectively provided with a plurality of orifices 14, 15 positioned along the flow of gas, the total of opening areas of orifices 14, 15 of each compression plate 12, 13 being equal to the opening area of conventional orifices. The above interval L is set about ten times as long as the upstream decompression plate 12, whereby decompression can be accomplished without an impulsive sound or a blow-through phenomenon even in a short pipeline.
