Abstract

PURPOSE:To easily discriminate kinds of pallets by detecting a groove mounted on the surface of the pallet by means of a detecting device while the pallet travels on a converyer. CONSTITUTION:A pallet 1 for transporting semiconductor parts P is formed of conductive material or ferromagnetic materal. The structure of a groove 2 is detected by a detector 3 in the midway of moving the pallet placed on a belt B to discriminate the kind of a pallet and the kind of semiconductor parts placed on the pallet by a discrimination circuit 4. The grooves 2 of the pallet 1 are disposed at fixed intervals along the moving direction, and comprise grooves 2a- 2b having two kinds of sections, whereby the character of the pallet 1 is displayed by the arrangement. Thus, the transporting pallet can be automatically discriminated to be sorted efficiently.
