Abstract

A feed device for supplying continuously-conveyed bulk goods to a continuously-operating processing plant (8 to 13) comprises a feed receptacle 2 in which is formed a column of material 4 ensuring the exclusion of air from the circulation system of processing plant, with at least one discharge roller 5 provided at the base of the column of material. A level serving device (16), Fig. 2, not shown, is used to control the roller rotation speed and hence the height of the column. Two discharge rollers may be used with clearing devices, and of equal or unequal diameters.
