Abstract
PURPOSE:To contemplate improvement of uniformity in coloring, coatability, printability and clogging of a type in a printer, by a method wherein a color reagent containing a wetting agent is provided on a layer of microcapsules containing a color former provided on one side of a support. CONSTITUTION:A layer of microcapsules containing a color former is provided on one side of a support, and a layer of a color reagent containing a wetting agent is provided on the capsule layer. By using a wetting agent having a contact angle of 30 deg. or less, pref., 3-28 deg., as measured by placing on a microsyringe a drop of a material prepared by dissolving the wetting agent in distilled water and adjusting the concentration to 0.2wt%, the uniformity in coloring and the printability are improved particularly remarkably. Examples of the wetting agent include secondary higher alcohol sulfates, sulfosuccinic acid esters, etc. As a color reagent, acid layer, bentonite, silica gel or the like is used.
