Abstract

PURPOSE:To continuously grasp variation in mean distribution of the amount of resources by providing a scatter intensity arithmetic means with a means which finds the mean of a distribution of scatter intensity for every ultrasonic wave emission within the movement range of an ultrasonic wave emitting device from a reference position according to the movement of the device. CONSTITUTION:A transmitter 2 and a receiver 3 are connected to an ultrasonic wave receiver 1, and the receiver 3 is equipped with a TVG voltage generator. The output of the receiver 3 is squared by a squaring circuit 4, whose output is operated by a correcting circuit 5 to find scatter intensity SV. A horizontal integrating circuit 6 integrates the intensity SV from a reference position to a current position, and supplies the result to a mean scatter intensity arithmetic circuit 7. This circuit 7 consists of a section arithmetic circuit 70 which finds the mean scatter intensity of every section and a continuous arithmetic circuit 71 which finds mean scatter intensity between the reference position and the current position successively. A CRT8 as a display device regards the output of the circuit 70 as (a) and that of the circuit 71 as (b) to perform graph display.
