Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of an arc by inserting a changeover switch between switching elements in parallel. CONSTITUTION:When a tap switching signal is applied to a gate checking circuit 22, a motor 13 is driven to rotate variable contactors 5 and 6, switching taps. Then, a cam rotated through the rotation of the motor 13 closes cam switches 20 and 21. Consequently, switching elements 8 and 9 turn on. In this case, a changeover switch 12 holds itself in a closed circuit state and a passing current flows through the changeover switch 12. Then, the changeover switch 12 operated by the rotation of the motor 13 turns off. Namely, the changeover switch 12 is turned on when the switching elements 8 and 9 turn on and off.
