Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the consumption of electric energy and to improve the comfortableness, by adjusting the operating efficiency of an air conditioner thereby regulating the temperature and humidity load on the air conditioner. CONSTITUTION:A controlling apparatus 7 comprises an input means 8, a judging and comparing means 9 for controlling room temperature, a room temperature detector 10, a timer input means 12 for making a reference clock of settling time for outdoor and indoor blowers 5, 6 and a compressor 1 of an air conditioner control means 11, a data memory 13 and a controller 14. In a case that the cooling load is too high for the operating state of the air conditioner, the operating period is prolonged to increase the operating efficiency, and coversely in a case that the cooling load is low, the operating period is shortened to decrease the operating efficiency by the control of the controller 14. In other words, at the initial stage of cooling operation the cooling operation is performed at a minimum operation efficiency independent of the load, and when the load becomes high, the room temperature is controlled by shortening the cooling operation period by DELTAT, so that the electric power consumption can be reduced at the initial stage of the cooling, and effective operation in response to the cooling load can be realized.
