Abstract

PURPOSE:To make the reuse of a structural member possible and to reduce its cost by using said structural member and binding a melt sprayed layer and the structural member by means of a binder. CONSTITUTION:A hard metal is sprayed onto the transfer surface of a melt spraying model 2, whereby a melt sprayed layer 3 is formed. The surface of the layer 3 is of the same shape as that of the surface of a basic model. A structure 5 made by casting is set from the rear side 6 of the layer 3 by providing a spacing 7. A binder 10 which has fluidity and solidifies with lapse of time is injected through the holes 8 of the member 5. Upon the thorough solidifying of the binder 10, a frame body 9 and the model 2 are removed and a press die is perfected. If a zinc alloy is used for the binder 10, the shape of the die can be chaned easily in the stage of correcting the die, and the melt sprayed layer is not adversely affected during remelt-spraying.
