Abstract
PURPOSE: To give the strength equivalent to that of forging locally by adhering a dissimilar metal for reinforcement to the part corresponding to spokes of an aluminum wheel made of casting for large-sized vehicles and casting the same.
CONSTITUTION: First, a dissimilar metal 7 for reinforcement consisting of, for example, aluminum expanded material or the like heated of surfaces to about 200W 250°C is mounted to a core print receiver 10 provided to a lower die 3A by a core print 9 for the same, and is fitted to the lower die 3A. The metal 7 has saw-toothod notches 8. Thence, the lower dies 3A, 3B, horizontal dies 2A, 2B and an upper die 1 are combined to form a cavity part 4 of the shape corresponding to that of an aluminum wheel for large-sized vehicles. Thence, hot molten aluminum alloy heated to about 720W750°C is poured through a sprue 6 into the part 4. Thereby, the strength of the aluminum wheel for large-sized vehicles is improved locally.
