Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the amount of the feed oil from fluctuating and to obtain the power assist force corresponding to car speeds by pushing back a drooping pin by means of an electromagnetic solenoid in response to car speeds when steering in a high speed region. CONSTITUTION:A spool 6 which is moved to the right or the left by means of oil pressures in front and rear of an orifice 11 is provided inside a housing 5, and a drooping pin 15 is provided protruding on the spool 6. A solenoid 20 is fitted to the left end of the housing 5, and its push rod 23 is arranged coaxially with the drooping pin 13. In a high speed region the push rod 23 is projected in response to car speeds, pushing back the drooping pin 15, thereby the amount of the oil fed from a port 8 into an actuator 3 is prevented from increasing. Even under the above condition the spool is allowed to move to the right, therefore, if the pump exhaust is increased the increased amount is returned to a tank through a port 9 and the amount of the feed oil can be kept constant.
