Abstract
PURPOSE:To effectively prevent the corrosion of stainless steel contacting with chlorosulfonic acid contg. free HCl by allowing nitric acid or nitrous acid radicals to exist in the chlorosulfonic acid. CONSTITUTION:In a system where stainless steel contacts with a highly corrosive acid contg. practically no water such as chlorosulfonic acid contg. free HCl, a very small amount of nitric acid or nitrous acid radicals is allowed to exist in the chlorosulfonic acid. Thus, the corrosion of the stainless steel is prevented, and the stainless steel can be protected.
