Abstract

CONSTITUTION: There are front edge support bars 61 to connect between front edge beams 1 oppositely arranged and rear edge support bars 63 to connect wing rear edge 3 oppositely arranged. Front edge and rear edge support bars 61 and 63 are respectively rotatable round a shaft 5, and fast fixed on the shaft 5 after flexible wings are given initial tensions in directions of chords. In this vertical shaft type windmill, faces of sail wings are constructed to keep initial tensions to be spread tensely. This construction permits to obtain perfect wing shapes and prevent the faces of sail wings against the flapping caused by the force of air.
