Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent uncontrolled operation of an engine by stopping the engine and providing an alarm signal when the output of a sensor for monitoring the crank angle at a predetermined level of the pressure of the lubricating oil or the fuel pressure in the injection pump deivate out of a predetermined range.
CONSTITUTION: A voltage VR corresponding to the revolving rate is obtained by waveform-shaping 102 and frequency/voltage-converting 103 the unit pulses IS provided by a crank angle sensor 101. Controlled variables such as fuel supply rate are calculated by an arithmetic circuit 104 on the basis of the voltage VR and signals corresponding to the parameters of operation of the engine. The voltage VR is compared with a set voltage VS by a comparator 105. The comparator 105 provides a low level signal S2 when VS-α≤VR≤VS+α (α=constant). The signal S2 is sent to D-ff 107. The memorized signal S is provided when an oil-pressure switch 106 which is switched on when the oil pressure in the injection pump or the like reaches a predetermined level is switched on. An engine stop device 108 and an alarm device 109 are actuated by the output signal S.
