PURPOSE:To construct a strong retaining wall of large-size blocks in a short time and by a small number of workers by a method in which two vertical iron bar through-holes are formed in a large-size block with the same interval as the erecting intervals of vertical iron bars, and the center of the upper stage block is positioned at the joint of the lower stage blocks to form the retaining wall. CONSTITUTION:Iron bars 2 are horizontally laid at the center of a base concrete 1, and the lower ends of the vertical iron bars 6 are coupled with horizontal iron bars 2 at every fixed inteval and buried in such a way as to project them to more than the height of a retaining wall. A base concrete slab 5 having a hole 4 matching with the basal portion 3 of the vertical iron bars 6 is set at a given angle on the base concrete 1, the slope of the vertical iron bar 3 is corrected, and concrete is placed into the hole 4. A large-size block 7 1.5m in length, 0.66m in width, and 0.35m in thick has two iron bar through-holes 8 at the same intervals as that of the vertical iron bars. The large-size blocks 7 are stacked up in such a way that the center of the upper block is positioned at the joint of the lower stage blocks by thrusting vertical iron bars 3 through them for constructing a retaining wall.
