Abstract
PURPOSE:To remove well a toner in gas after cleaning of a photoreceptor, by allowing charged particles such as the toner floating in gas to pass through a carrier bead aggregation, which has the charge of a polarity opposite to that of charged particles, together with gas. CONSTITUTION:Air including a toner cleaned off from the surface of a photoreceptor is charged from an inlet 8 and passes through a passage 10, a screen mesh 13, and a carrier scattering part 27. This mesh 13 consists of two layers of a mesh plate of about 80mum and a supporting punching plate. A bias 300- 800V with a polarity opposite to that of the charge on toner particles is applied to a mixing bar 29. Most of toner particles charged between carrier particles in attracted to carrier particles. The toner on the carrier is separated by a removing means consisting of a roll 26, an electrode plate 28, a guide plate 11, a roll 16, etc., and is discharged by screw augers 18 and 19.
