Abstract
PURPOSE:To utilize the heat, which is generated in a power source part, to dry an electrostatic recording paper subjected to liquid development and cool the heating power source part also, by connecting the air inlet of a blower and the power source part to feed a hot blast to a blast pipe for drying of the recording paper. CONSTITUTION:Because of the liquid development system, an electrostatic printer is provided with a drying mechanism 15 which dries an electrostatic recording paper damped by development and fixing. The drying mechanism 15 consists of a blast mechanism 7 consisting of a blower 8 and an air pipe 9, a heating power source part 14, and an air pipe 16 connecting an air inlet 17 of the blower 8 and the heating power source part 14. Air warmed in the power source part 14 is sucked through the air pipe 16 by the blower and becomes a hot blast in the blast pipe 9 and is discharged from a discharge exit 10. A hot blast is blown from the discharge exit 10 to a damped electrostatic recording paper 5 to dry the electrostatic recording paper 5.
