Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain image of good quality by drying transfer paper while preventing the temperature of a photoreceptor from rising, by supplying heat from a heat fixing device to a paper feed part through a ventilation flue provided between the heat fixing device and paper feed part. CONSTITUTION:An electrostatic latent image formed on a photoreceptor 2 is made into a visible image by a developing device 5 and transferred to transfer paper 9 carried from a paper feed cassette 10 to be fixed thermally by a heat roller 13. In this operation, a fan 18 in a ventilation flue 15 turns to send a hot blast, generated by the heat roller 13, to the paper feed cassette 10, and it is further supplied to the transfer paper 9 through air holes 17 of its bottom plate 16. Thus, the temperature rise of the photoreceptor 2 by the heat of the heat roller 13 is prevented, and the transfer paper in the paper feed part 10 is dried even the humidity is high.
