Abstract
PURPOSE:To automatically detect a flaw over the whole area of a welding part, by counting a quality deciding result of the welding part, comparing this counting result with a quality deciding value of the whole material to be detected, which has been set in advance, deciding its result, and outputting the counting result and the deciding result. CONSTITUTION:The sum of the number of defects of a welding part in a flaw detecting range 14, and the number of pseudo defects of an unwelded part is counted by a defect number counting circuit 10. On the other hand, the number of defects is counted by use of a test piece and by the same method, and is stored in a defect number correcting memory 16. When contents of the corresponding memory 16 are subtracted from a counting value of the counting circuit 10 by a subtracting circuit 17, a flaw is detected over the almost whole area of a welding part 3. An output of this subtracting circuit 17 and a deciding value set by a deciding reference setting device 18 are decided by a welding part quality deciding circuit 18, and a deciding result of each welding part is counted by a defective welding part number counting circuit 21. This counting value is compared with the deciding value set by the setting device 19 by a quality deciding circuit 12, and a quality deciding result of the whole material to be detected is outputted. In this way, the whole area of the welding part is detected as to its flaw automatically.
